The R-Tac M4/16 Double Staggered Quick Release Mag Pouch holds 2 M4/PMAGs and is designed with the warrior in mind.
All of our products are made out of 1000 Denier Cordura nylon. Making our products out of this material instead of 500 Denier nylon (current military spec and industry standard) equates to a 30 percent more abrasion resistant end product. This translates into longer durability and dependability. All other materials meet or exceed military specs. These products will give soldiers greater confidence in their gear as well as better performance.
Using a higher grade of nylon does not lead to greater weight; due to our design these pouches are ounces lighter than comparable products from weaker fabrics. Over six years of discussion with soldiers in the field we have learned that “when pounds count ounces matter.”
You will notice that key seams are double-stitched. This equates to longer durability and greater overall strength of the pouch. This also contributes to longer product life.
Every product has been designed for performance that is high speed and low drag. Current manufactures of pouches aim for secure retention of the magazine- over time this leads to increased wear and tear, need for visual guidance of magazine insertion and removal, and shorter product lifespan. Our pouches are designed around their contents, making for quicker load times and decreased fatigue on the soldier and product. This decreases reaction time and allows for the elimination of all visual guidance while using these pouches.
Pull tabs on these pouches are elongated to allow for those operating in harsh conditions with protective gear to find and release tabs with greater ease. The staggered nature of the pouches further enhances ease of magazine draw and replacement.

Love this pouch!
This is similar to the other R-TAC pouches I have bought and so I'll write what I wrote for the others, with a few specific details for this particular pouch added in.
Having been in the military for almost 18 years I have used quite a few different brands of pouches. Four combat tours have taught me that saving a dollar or two now is NOT worth it when you need to count on your gear. ALL other brands I have used wound up with tears, holes from rubbing, separated seams etc etc. R-TAC pouches, however, have treated me well and unless something extreme happens, have never failed me nor disappointed me.
I don't know how they do it but these are made with thicker, stronger material but are somehow LIGHTER! Sure, an ounce isn't that much but when you wear enough crap, that half pound to a pound saved means a lot. Not only that, but the fit is superb. The construction is top notch. And most importantly, at least when you're in the heat of battle, they're easy and intuitive to use. I found that I could slip off the retaining strap and grab the magazine in one, fluid motion...all by the feel of my hand, through a glove, and without looking at all. There was never any doubt which magazine I was grabbing either. Also, when the mag is out of the pouch, the material is flexible enough that it doesn't stay wide open allowing crud to get in there...yet is rigid enough that magazine reinsertion is a breeze.
If you want to buy the last pouch you'll ever need, this is it! Pricing is comparable, quality is outstanding, and the design is awesome. Couldn't ask for more. Oh, and one more thing, if needed, Recon Tactical will even tailor these to meet your specific needs. For example, we were able to buy some with a single pull tab for both mags or individual tabs...and we even custom ordered the tabs slightly shorter to meet the taste of our operators. Try to get that from any of the "big boys"!! Buy this...you won't be sorry.

Great Pouch!
This pouch is the heat! The compartments are staggered, making it super easy to pull and load magazines. The quick release pull tab is easy to navigate.
