Terms and Conditions
Recon-Tactical is a privately owned retailer and manufacturer of military equipment and gear created to fill all of your tactical needs. From field equipment to uniforms and gear, we have what you want and need. Recon-Tactical sells only the highest quality products to ensure your satisfaction.
Recon Tactical is not responsible in any way for any typos or discrepancies on this site, including; pricing, descriptions, etc. We reserve the right to pull any product at anytime whether it is on order, advertised, discontinued, out of stock, subject to manufacturer's defect, etc.
Special Orders
Special orders cannot be canceled and are non-returnable: they can only be exchanged for the exact same product due to manufacturer defects or sizing issues. Once a special order is ordered and paid for it is considered a purchase on the customer's part.
Terms
All orders that have been placed by the customer are charged immediately. This follows the terms and policies set by our payment gateway. All canceled orders, regardless of shipping status, are subject to a 25% cancellation fee which is calculated on the entire order amount. Initial shipping charges are non-refundable. Individual items that may be on back order and you wish to cancel off of your order are also subject to a 25% cancellation fee for the particular item. If you would like to replace the back ordered item with an alternate item the 25% cancellation fee is non applicable. No body armor can be returned and no order for armor can be canceled once placed. It can only be exchanged for sizing issues or manufactures defects and must be exchanged for the same item. This includes Helmets and all soft and hard armor, including shields and face shields.
Out of Stock
If an order is pending please contact us, one or more of your items may be out of stock or on a manufacturer's back order. If you are in a rush for your order, please contact us prior to placing your order so that we can inform you ahead of time of any back orders and give you release dates if available.
Contacting Us
Emails and phone messages are responded to in the order in which they are received. Typically this means within 24-48 hours during business days and hours. At times our email and website may go down for unexpected reasons- this includes our phone lines. Please bear with us and try both forms of communication. Under no circumstances will Recon-Tactical deal with vulgar or unprofessional language over the phone, email or otherwise. We try to keep a high level of professionalism; we ask that our customers do the same.
Shipping
All orders will ship within 48 hours of purchase excluding holidays and non business days. At times, an item can show that it is in stock, but in fact the system has not yet updated to show that it is out of stock. Such items are considered on back order. When you place an order and an item or items are not in stock, your order will not ship until your order is completed. Once the product(s) that have been on back order are received, your order will ship via the method you paid for. Please provide accurate information for shipping and billing as this will aid Recon-Tactical in getting your purchase to you quickly.
Orders going to a P.O. Box, APO or International address cannot have a tracking label placed on the package.
Recon-Tactical is not responsible for any missed deliveries or non deliveries, damaged or otherwise. Once a package leaves Recon-Tactical the product(s) are no longer Recon-Tactical's responsibility and all claims must be filed with USPS or UPS by the customer. At that point the product can be reordered. Orders are not insured by Recon-Tactical, if a customer wishes to have a package insured, they should contact us directly to get an insurance quote and arrange for payment.
Returns/Restocking
If you order something, receive it and wish to return it for any reason, you must package the product in the manner in which it was received. You are responsible for all shipping charges and a 25% restocking fee. Items returned must be in New (non used) condition as does the product packaging, or it cannot be returned. If you need or wish to return a product or exchange a product, you must contact us prior to sending out your package. An RMA number or (Return Merchandise Authorization number) will be issued to you that you will need to clearly mark on the outside of the package. We strongly suggest that you send your package back so that it is traceable and insured: If you send a package back and it is not received is damaged, we cannot take responsibility and will not be able to issue a return or exchange. All returns must be received by Recon-Tactical within 2 weeks of customer's received date.
Recon-Tactical inspects each product that comes into our inventory. We also inspect each product before we package and ship to you. Occasionally something may slip past us. If you receive the wrong product, we ask that you package the product in the manner in which you received it and we will have it picked up at no cost to you (US orders only). We will then send out the correct item to you at no additional charge for shipping. We make good on our mistakes.
R-TAC Product Warranty
At Recon Tactical, we believe in doing it right or not doing it at all. We take great pride in our products and we stand behind them. All of our R-TAC line is made locally in Connecticut, USA under strict quality control guidelines. We use only the finest USA sourced materials from our nylon thread and fabric to our webbing and buckles. We are 100% Barry compliant. We take great pride in providing products that will give years of faithful service.
Should one of our products fail due to a defect in materials or workmanship, we will repair or replace it, free of charge, for the lifetime of the product. Bladders, tubes and the bite valves on our hydration system are the only exception and carry a one year warrantee. This warranty excludes normal wear and tear, damage due to lack of proper maintenance, damage by employment outside of the product’s area of intended use, or damage through misuse of the product. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable.
